About Us
The kit has been developed by Dr Jane Badenoch-Jones. Jane has a Rural Science degree and a PhD in Biochemistry, and over 20 years experience working in the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), the Australian National University (ANU) and the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), primarily in the area of therapeutic drugs.
She has been a lover of horses ever since she can remember, and a horse owner for nearly as long. She lives in the Southern Highlands of NSW with her much loved Arabian gelding, Hossie. Her family owned a sheep and cattle property in the Northen Tablelands of NSW for 20 years and she has run a cattle property in the Southern Highlands for 15 years.
All leading parasitologists are saying the same thing about how to manage internal parasites of horses and farm animals and to minimise the development of anthelmintic resistance (see Professional Opinions). The EggsAct kit provides a simple tool so that farmers, graziers and horse owners can easily put into practice what the scientists are recommending. Jane hopes that many people will take advantage of this tool to enable them to improve worm management and minimise the development of anthelmintic resistance on their properties.
